Privacy Policy

Effective July 23, 2026

Responsibility Pulse is a private household coordination service. This policy explains what information the service handles and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

We store the display name you choose, your household membership, invitations, shared responsibilities, responsibility ownership, Pulse updates, and optional notes. When you deliberately promote a calendar event, its title and event identifier become part of the shared responsibility.

If you choose Protect this Household with Apple, we store a one-way hash of the private identifier Apple provides. We do not request your Apple Account email address. The identifier is used only to recover your Responsibility Pulse identity and household after reinstalling the app or changing devices.

Calendar privacy

Calendar access is requested separately on each device and is optional. Responsibility Pulse does not upload or expose your full calendar. Events you do not deliberately promote remain on your device and are not shared with your household through the service.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store an Apple Push Notification service device token. We use it only to deliver Responsibility Pulse updates to your devices.

How information is used

We use information only to provide and protect the service: authenticating your device, maintaining household membership, synchronizing responsibilities, delivering invitations and notifications, and responding to support requests. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or build household scores or individual performance profiles.

Who can see shared information

Members of the same household can see its member list and deliberately shared responsibilities, including ownership and current Pulse. Joining requires a single-use invitation. A person’s unpromoted calendar is not visible to other members.

Retention and deletion

Information remains available while your account is active. Invitations expire after 48 hours and can be used only once. You can leave a household without deleting your account. An organizer must transfer household ownership before leaving when other members remain. You can delete your account, protected Apple identity, device registrations, and associated personal data inside the app under Settings → Delete account.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information in transit and at rest. No networked service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Responsibility Pulse accounts are intended for adults. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date and provide notice in the app or on this website.
